Tracy Fahey

Tracy Fahey loves books that combine folklore and the uncanny: reading them, living through them, writing them. She grew up in Ireland, in County Louth, site of the Cuchulainn legends and the famous Irish saga, the Táin Bó Cúailnge. Her grandfather was a cemetery keeper and her family home was built on the site of a much older graveyard. Her writing is influenced by Irish mythology and her grandmother’s folktales, some of which inspired The Girl In The Fort.

She writes short stories and is published in fourteen US and UK anthologies. Her first collection, The Unheimlich Manoeuvre, published in 2016, was nominated for a British Fantasy Award.

The Girl In The Fort is her first novel.
